Iron Melting

EGES melting system of ULTRAMELT series was developed for simultaneous and continuous power supply to three furnaces in a cross-melting mode.

Here the system gives the possibility of iron melting without heel from a single power supply source which is equal to two power supply sources. The system consumes 100% of power and continuously supplies production facilities with melted iron. The system is equipped with two complete control sets which facilitate power supply to all furnaces without any mechanical or electrical switchover of the furnaces.

Design and location of melting equipment ensure easy access for loading raw materials to melting station and easy delivery of melted iron to pouring station without or with minimum crossing of routes for material supply. 

The melting equipment includes three midfrequency induction coreless furnaces, each of a 4-ton capacity, which are powered from a power unit. Sizes and number of furnaces were selected in such a way that they could meet requirements which are above medium level of industrial requirements for the round-the-clock operation of molding lines. 

 Induction elements of EGP4000SE furnaces include the following:

– Supporting frame;

– Furnace housing;

– Furnace platform;

– Side guards;

– Exhaust hood and cover system.

НЕСУЩАЯ РАМА Supporting frame of the EGP4000SE induction furnace features a simple but strong structure made of section steel whereon a furnace housing rests and where a furnace tilting mechanism is fixed.
Housing of the EGP4000SE induction furnace (of EGP S type) features a rigid structure made of section steel. The housing accomodates inductor and magnetic cores while a lower part accomodates a lining ejection mechanism. КОРПУС
ПЛАТФОРМА Platform of the EGP4000SE induction furnace features a platform made of steel checker plates which cover space above the furnace.
Side guards of the EGP4000SE induction furnace feature a fabricated steel structure which is fixed on hydraulic cylinders. When the furnace is tilted the side guards lift up together with the furnace and close a gap between the furnace platform and a work deck.  БОКОВОЕ ОГРАЖДЕНИЕ

The system of exhaust hood and cover of the EGP4000SE induction furnace is designed to reduce heat losses due to heat emission from melt mirror and removal of gases which accumulate during melting. The exhaust hood features a welded steel structure inside of which there is a cover which closes the furnace melting pot and reduces heat losses. The exhaust hood is connected with the exhaust system. The exhaust hood and the furnace cover are lifted and lowered down with the help of hydraulic cylinders which are mounted on the furnace platform and get controlled with special levers located on a panel which controls furnace hydraulic system.
